Rental Policy & Terms

To secure your two-wheeler rental in Shillong, all riders must provide the following documentation upon vehicle pickup:

• Original Driving License: A valid Indian Driving License (MCWG/MCWOG) is mandatory. We retain the physical card as security for the duration of your Meghalaya bike trip.
• Government ID Proof: Original Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport (for address verification).
• Age Limit: The primary rider must be at least 18 years old.

We pride ourselves on offering transparent bike rental Shillong price structures. A fully refundable security deposit is required before handing over the keys.

• Scooty Rental Shillong (TVS Ntorq, Dio): ₹1,000 Deposit
• Premium Bikes (Classic 350, Hunter 350): ₹2,000 Deposit
• Adventure Bikes (Himalayan 411/450): ₹3,000 Deposit

Meghalaya’s terrain requires responsible riding. Whether you are taking your scooter rental to Dawki or riding a Royal Enfield to Cherrapunji (Sohra), please adhere to our strict safety protocols:

• Fuel Policy (Tank-to-Tank): Bikes are provided with minimal fuel to reach the nearest petrol pump. Clients must return the rental bike with the exact same fuel level. Fuel costs are the rider’s responsibility.
• Helmet Rule: Cloud City Wheels provides ONE complimentary ISI-marked helmet. A pillion helmet is mandatory per traffic laws and can be rented for a nominal ₹50/day.
• Off-Roading & Overspeeding: Standard scooters are strictly for paved roads. Extreme off-roading is only permitted on Adventure models (Himalayan/Xpulse). Overspeeding in Khasi village limits will result in immediate deposit forfeiture.

We guarantee well-maintained machines for your Shillong to Dawki bike trip. However, in the event of user-caused damage:

• Physical Damage: Any damage to the motorcycle (dents, broken indicators, deep scratches) will be evaluated based on the official Royal Enfield / TVS authorized service center price list and deducted from the deposit.
• Punctures: Fixing flat tires is the sole responsibility of the renter during the journey.
• Mechanical Breakdown: If a mechanical failure occurs (not caused by rider negligence), we will provide roadside assistance within Shillong city limits, or cover repair costs at a local mechanic in remote areas like Pynursla.
